New York, New York on John Kanderin säveltämä ja Fred Ebbin sanoittama musiikkikappale vuoden 1977 elokuvasta New York, New York. Kappaleen lauloi elokuvassa Liza Minnelli ja suursuosioon sen nosti Frank Sinatra vuoden 1980 levytyksellään.[1]


Kappale syntyi muiden New York, New York -elokuvaan tehtyjen laulujen jälkeen. Kander ja Ebb esittivät säveltämänsä kappaleet ohjaaja Martin Scorseselle ja elokuvan näyttelijöille, Liza Minnellille ja Robert De Nirolle. De Niron mielestä elokuva tarvitsi vahvemman nimikappaleen ja hän pyysi Kanderia ja Ebbiä yrittämään uudelleen, mikä suututti ja loukkasi kokenutta lauluntekijäkaksikkoa. He kuitenkin suostuivat tekemään uuden ehdotuksen nimikappaleeksi. Lopullisesta ”New York, New York” -kappaleesta tuli elokuvan menestynein laulu.[1]


Pormestari Edward I. Koch nimesi kappaleen New Yorkin viralliseksi tunnuslauluksi vuonna 1985.[2][3]

PallopelitLeikit pallolla Aasi on yksinkertainen pallolla pelattava pallopeli, joka toimii lasten ja nuorten ajanvietteenä. Peliin tarvitaan pallo ja kolme pelaajaa. Kaksi pelaajaa ovat kaukana toisistaan (noin 10m) ja kolmas pelaaja on heidän keskellään. Kaukaisimmat pelaajat heittelevät palloa keskenään, ja keskimmäinen pelaaja, aasi, yrittää siepata pallon itselleen. Jos aasi saa pallon kiinni, hän pääsee sen pelaajan paikalle joka heitti pallon. Tämä peli esiintyy myös nimillä Piimä , Mummonkiusaus ja Kala . lähde? Aasi on myös nimitys toiselle pallopelille. Peliin tarvitaan vähintään kaksi pelaajaa sekä pallo.
