Shewa Etiopian keisarikunnassa


Shewa, Shoa tai Šoa[1] on historiallinen valtakunta nykyisen Etiopian keskiosissa. Alue on pääasiassa ylänköä, jota rajaa luoteessa Sininen-Niili, lounaassa Omojoki ja etelässä ja idässä Iso hautavajoama. Alueella sijaitsee Etiopian pääkaupunki Addis Abeba.[2]


Shewassa asui paikalliskuninkaita 900-luvulta 1300-luvun loppuun. Vuonna 1528 se joutui Adalin tuhoamaksi, jonka jälkeen alueelle tuli Oromo-kansaa etelästä. Vuonna 1856 Teodoros II liitti Shewan Etiopian keisarikuntaan. Menelik, Shewan autonominen ruhtinas, perusti vuonna 1886 Addis Abeban hallituspaikakseen. Kun Menelik vuonna 1889 voideltiin Etiopian keisariksi (nimellä Menelik II), tuli kaupungista koko maan pääkaupunki.[2][1]

PallopelitLeikit pallolla Aasi on yksinkertainen pallolla pelattava pallopeli, joka toimii lasten ja nuorten ajanvietteenä. Peliin tarvitaan pallo ja kolme pelaajaa. Kaksi pelaajaa ovat kaukana toisistaan (noin 10m) ja kolmas pelaaja on heidän keskellään. Kaukaisimmat pelaajat heittelevät palloa keskenään, ja keskimmäinen pelaaja, aasi, yrittää siepata pallon itselleen. Jos aasi saa pallon kiinni, hän pääsee sen pelaajan paikalle joka heitti pallon. Tämä peli esiintyy myös nimillä Piimä , Mummonkiusaus ja Kala . lähde? Aasi on myös nimitys toiselle pallopelille. Peliin tarvitaan vähintään kaksi pelaajaa sekä pallo.
