Curiumhydroksidia mikrosentrifugiputkessa, syksy 1947


Curium(III)hydroksidi tai curiumhydroksidi Cm(OH)3 on aktinoidi curiumin epäorgaaninen hydroksidi. Louis B. Werner ja Isadore Perlman valmistivat ainetta syksyllä 1947 ja se oli ensimmäisenä syntetisoitu curiumin yhdiste.[1][2]


Curiumhydroksidia voidaan saada ammoniakin reaktiolla Cm3+-suolaliuosten kanssa.[3] Curiumhydroksidi on kidevedetön väritön[4] tai kellertävä kiinteä aine, joka liukenee hyvin vähän veteen[3]. Sillä on uraani(III)kloridin tyyppinen[5] heksagonaalinen kiderakenne (avaruusryhmä P63/m, numero 176, hilavakiot a=639,1 pm ja c=371,2 pm)[2][4].


Curiumin voimakkaan radioaktiivisuuden vuoksi 244Cm(OH)3 hajoaa radiolyysillä päivän kuluessa, kun taas amerikiumhydroksidille 241Am(OH)3 sama prosessi vie 4-6 kuukautta[4].

PallopelitLeikit pallolla Aasi on yksinkertainen pallolla pelattava pallopeli, joka toimii lasten ja nuorten ajanvietteenä. Peliin tarvitaan pallo ja kolme pelaajaa. Kaksi pelaajaa ovat kaukana toisistaan (noin 10m) ja kolmas pelaaja on heidän keskellään.
