Darrell Ray Green (s. 15. helmikuuta 1960 Houston, Texas) on yhdysvaltalainen entinen amerikkalaisen jalkapallon pelaaja.[1]

Green sai NFL-varauksen vuonna 1983, kun Washington Redskins varasi hänet numerolla 28 NFL Draftin ensimmäisellä kierroksella. Kulmapuolustajana pelannut Green edusti Redskinsiä koko NFL-uransa, vuodesta 1983 vuoteen 2002.[1] 20 kautta samassa seurassa on jaettu NFL-ennätys. Ennätyksen Greenin kanssa jakaa Jackie Slater (Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams 1976–1995).[2] Ennen ammattilaisuraansa Green pelasi Texas A&I University–Kingsvillen amerikkalaisen jalkapallon joukkueessa ja kilpaili myös yleisurheilussa. Nopeudestaan tunnettu Green juoksi yliopistourheiluaikanaan 100 metriä parhaimmillaan aikaan 10,08.[3][4]


Green oli voittamassa kahta Super Bowlia.[3] Vuonna 1988 Redskins voitti loppuottelussa Denver Broncosin 42–10 ja vuonna 1992 Buffalo Billsin 37–24. Hänen tulokaskautensa Super Bowlissa vuonna 1984 Redskins hävisi Los Angeles Raidersille 9–38.[5][6]


Green pelasi NFL-uransa viimeisen ottelun 29. joulukuuta 2002, jolloin Redskins kohtasi Dallas Cowboysin. Redskins voitti ottelun 20–14.[7] Green oli tuolloin 42-vuotias, vanhin kulmapuolustaja NFL:n historiassa.[8][9] Green pelasi urallaan yhteensä 295 NFL:n runkosarjaottelua, enemmän kuin kukaan muu puolustuspelaaja liigan historiassa, ja hänelle kertyi näissä otteluissa yhteensä 54 syötönkatkoa, mikä on Redskinsin seuraennätys.[10] Green pelasi seitsemänä vuonna NFL:n tähdistöottelussa Pro Bowlissa ja hän on nelinkertainen All-Pro-pelaaja.[3]


Green valittiin NFL:n 1990-luvun tähdistöjoukkueeseen ja vuonna 2004 College Football Hall of Fameen. Vuonna 2008 hänestä tuli Pro Football Hall of Famen jäsen.[3][11]

Green on ollut naimisissa vuodesta 1985.[12] Hänellä ja vaimollaan on kolme lasta, kaksi tytärtä ja poika.[13]

PallopelitLeikit pallolla Aasi on yksinkertainen pallolla pelattava pallopeli, joka toimii lasten ja nuorten ajanvietteenä. Peliin tarvitaan pallo ja kolme pelaajaa. Kaksi pelaajaa ovat kaukana toisistaan (noin 10m) ja kolmas pelaaja on heidän keskellään. Kaukaisimmat pelaajat heittelevät palloa keskenään, ja keskimmäinen pelaaja, aasi, yrittää siepata pallon itselleen. Jos aasi saa pallon kiinni, hän pääsee sen pelaajan paikalle joka heitti pallon. Tämä peli esiintyy myös nimillä Piimä , Mummonkiusaus ja Kala . lähde? Aasi on myös nimitys toiselle pallopelille. Peliin tarvitaan vähintään kaksi pelaajaa sekä pallo.
