Tuntomerkit |


Juurissa on typpeä sitovia bakteereja sisältäviä nystyjä. Lehdet ovat syväliuskaisia tai pariliuskaisia ja pääteparisia, enemmän tai vähemmän sulkasuonisia. Kasvit ovat kaksikotisia. Kukat sijaitsevat kimppuina terttumaisessa kukinnossa, ja niissä on neljästä kymmeneen verholehteä. Hedekukissa on 6-25 lyhytpalhoista hedettä. Emikukissa on yhdislehtinen sikiäin, joka koostuu kolmesta kahdeksaan emilehdestä; vartalot ovat pitkiä. Hedelmä on kotamainen.[1]

Levinneisyys ja luokittelu |


Heimo kasvaa kolmella erillisellä alueella: Pohjois-Amerikan länsiosassa, itäisistä Välimerenmaista Kaspianmerelle ulottuvalla alueella ja Afganistanista Pohjois-Intiaan ulottuvalla alueella.[2]


Heimossa on yksi ainoa suku Datisca, jossa on kaksi lajia. Läheisin sukulaisheimo on begoniakasvit (Begoniaceae).[3]

PallopelitLeikit pallolla Aasi on yksinkertainen pallolla pelattava pallopeli, joka toimii lasten ja nuorten ajanvietteenä. Peliin tarvitaan pallo ja kolme pelaajaa. Kaksi pelaajaa ovat kaukana toisistaan (noin 10m) ja kolmas pelaaja on heidän keskellään. Kaukaisimmat pelaajat heittelevät palloa keskenään, ja keskimmäinen pelaaja, aasi, yrittää siepata pallon itselleen. Jos aasi saa pallon kiinni, hän pääsee sen pelaajan paikalle joka heitti pallon. Tämä peli esiintyy myös nimillä Piimä , Mummonkiusaus ja Kala . lähde? Aasi on myös nimitys toiselle pallopelille. Peliin tarvitaan vähintään kaksi pelaajaa sekä pallo.
