Ngozin provinssi on yksi Burundin 18 maakunnasta. Maan pohjoisosassa sijaitsevan maakunnan hallintokeskuksena on 1 750 metriä merenpinnan yläpuolella sijaitseva Ngozin kaupunki (39 884 as., VL2008).[3][1][4] Kaupunki tunnetaan maatalousvaltaisen seudun kaupallisena keskuksena. Maakunnassa kasvatetaan karjaa ja viljellään kahvia, teetä, banaaneja, maniokkia (kassavaa), bataattia, papuja ja maissia. Seudulta louhitaan tinakiveä tinan tuotantoon. Ngozista etelään johtava maantie vie Gitegaan, Burundin toiseksi väkirikkaimpaan kaupunkiin. [3]


Maakunnan pinta-ala on 1 474 neliökilometriä. Asukasluku on kehittynyt seuraavasti: 394 351 (VL1979), 482 246 (VL1990) ja 660 717 (VL2008).[1] Vuonna 2013 maakunnassa arvioitiin asuvan 772 839 ihmistä. [2]


Maakunta on moniulotteisella köyhyysindeksillä (MPI) mitattuna eräs Burundin köyhimmistä maakunnista.[5]

PallopelitLeikit pallolla Aasi on yksinkertainen pallolla pelattava pallopeli, joka toimii lasten ja nuorten ajanvietteenä. Peliin tarvitaan pallo ja kolme pelaajaa. Kaksi pelaajaa ovat kaukana toisistaan (noin 10m) ja kolmas pelaaja on heidän keskellään. Kaukaisimmat pelaajat heittelevät palloa keskenään, ja keskimmäinen pelaaja, aasi, yrittää siepata pallon itselleen. Jos aasi saa pallon kiinni, hän pääsee sen pelaajan paikalle joka heitti pallon.
