Chopping Mall on yhdysvaltalainen kauhu-/sci-fi-elokuva, jonka ensi-ilta oli 21. maaliskuuta 1986[1], ja sitä näytettiin nimellä Killbots.[2]


Kun elokuva näytettiin ensi kertaa, se ei ollut menestys. Vähän ajan päästä se näytettiin uudestaan nimellä Chopping Mall, ja se sai paremman vastaanoton. Elokuva kertoo tappajaroboteista jotka ottavat ostoskeskuksen valtaansa ja murhaavat teini-ikäisiä työntekijöitä.


Elokuvan ohjasi Jim Wynorski ja kirjoittivat Wynorski ja Steve Mitchell. Sitä kuvattiin enimmäkseen Sherman Oaks Galleriassa. Elokuvana pääosissa olivat Kelli Maroney (joka oli myös elokuvassa Night of the Comet) sekä Tony O'Dell. Sen tuotti elokuvantekijä Roger Corman vaimonsa Julien kanssa. Paul Bartel ja Mary Woronov näyttelivät uudestaan Paul ja Mary Blandia, joita esittivät elokuvassa Paistinpannumurhaajat.[3]

Park Plaza Mall on juuri asentanut uuden turvajärjestelmän, johon kuuluu kolme huipputekniikalla varustettua turvarobottia.


Neljä nuorta paria päättää pitää elämänsä suurimmat juhlat. He kaikki jäävät ostoskeskukseen sulkemisajan jälkeen juomaan, juhlimaan ja huoraamaan. Ainoa huono puoli juhlissa on se, että juuri sinä yönä turvajärjestelmässä on vikaa, ja roboteista tulee tappajarobotteja, ja ne hyörivät ympäri ostoskeskusta tappamassa juhlijoita. Jokaisen murhansa jälkeen robotit sanovat: ”Have a nice day.” (Hyvää päivänjatkoa.)
