Richard Leigh (16. elokuuta 1943 New Jersey – 21. marraskuuta 2007 Lontoo, Britannia[1]) oli amerikkalaissyntyinen, Britanniassa suurimman osan elämäänsä asunut kirjailija.


Leigh nousi maineeseen teoksen Pyhä veri, pyhä Graal yhtenä tekijänä Michael Baigentin ja Henry Lincolnin ohella. Leigh oli tavannut Baigentin vuonna 1975 kesäyliopistossa, jossa he olivat luennoimassa kirjallisuudesta.


Pyhä veri, pyhä Graal oli paitsi kiistelty, myös viime vuosikymmenien myydyimpiä teoksia. Siinä esitettiin, ettei Jeesus kuollutkaan ristiinnaulittuna, vaan jäi henkiin, meni naimisiin Magdalan Marian kanssa ja muutti perheineen Etelä-Ranskaan ja tämän virallisen kertomuksen takana olisi salaliitto jonka takana olisivat olleet temppeliritarit[2]


Leigh opiskeli kirjallisuutta Tuftsin ja Chicagon yliopistoissa ja sai filosofian tohtorin arvon väiteltyään New Yorkin valtionyliopistossa. Hän muutti Lontooseen 1970-luvun puolivälissä.[1]
