"Kaupunki meressä" ("The City in the Sea") on Edgar Allan Poen runo. Lopullinen versio ilmestyi 1845, mutta siitä oli julkaistu aiemmin 1831 versio nimellä "The Doomed City", ja myöhemmin ilmestyi versio nimellä "The City of Sin". Runo kertoo kaupungista, jota hallitsee kuolema, ja siinä on tavanomaisia goottilaisen romaanin aineksia.

Poe on saanut vaikutteita useista teoksista, muun muassa Samuel Taylor Coleridgen Kubla Khanista, ja hänen on syytetty plagioineen runoon "The City in the Sea" vähemmän tunnettua runoa. Poe on saanut vaikutteita myös Josephuksen teoksesta Juutalaissodan historia, jossa kuvataan Gomorran kaupunkia.

Runo on ilmestynyt suomeksi Poen runojen suomennosvalikoimassa Rakkauden ja kuoleman lauluja, jonka on suomentanut Oskar Nousiainen.[1]
