Prithvi-ohjus.


Prithvi (sanskrit pṛthvī, maan jumalatar) on Intian lyhyen kantomatkan ballistinen ohjus (SRBM), joka lentää versiosta riippuen 150–300 kilometrin päähän. Ohjus on nsiin sanottu taistelukentän eli taktinen ohjus.


Ohjuksen kehitystyö alkoi 1983 ja sen ensimmäinen koelaukaisu oli helmikuun 25. 1998 ja se tuli käyttöön Intian armeijassa 1994. Ohjuksen tekniikka on mahdollisesti peräisin neuvostoliittolaisesta SA-2-ohjuksesta. Hyötykuorma on riittävä ydinkärjen kuljetukseen.


Ohjuksen tarkkuus on 500 metriä, mikä on suuri rasite, samoin se, että Prithvi III -ohjus käyttää nestemäistä polttoainetta, jonka käsittely pidentää ohjuksen laukaisuaikaa.



Mallit |


  • Prithvi I: taistelukärki 1 000 kg, kantomatka 200 km, käyttöön 1994

  • Prithvi II: kantomatka 250 km, mahdollisesti kiinteä polttoaine, ilmavoimien käytössä, käyttöön 1996

  • Prithvi III: 2-vaiheinen kiinteä+nestemäinen vaihe, kantomatka/hyötykuorma 350 km/1000 kg tai 600 km/500 kg tai 750 km/250 kg, ensimmäinen koelaukaisu 2001. Kantomatka riittää ohjuksen luokittelemiseen keskimatkan ohjukseksi.
